What I Eat in a Day

If I were to categorize or place a label on my diet I would say that I eat primarily paleo. I try to avoid all dairy, gluten, refined sugar, grains, and beans. Although sometimes I make exceptions, say if a salad has beans or quinoa in it then I don't make a fuss about it. I try my best to choose foods that make me feel and look my best on the inside and out. I believe that every decision we make in regards to what we put on our forks and spoons is either a decision towards greater health or a decision towards disease and illness. I always remind myself of this and what the consequences of eating a certain food will have on my future health.
Generally, I eat three larger meals a day. I have found that larger meals keeps me satisfied for 4 to 5 hours before my next meal. I also try to fast for at least 12 hours a day, which is easy when you think about it. We all should be fasting for at least 7-8 hours per night while we are sleeping so that leaves about 4 to 5 hours during the day to go without eating. I accomplish this through eating breakfast around 7am and eating dinner before 7pm. Overall, fasting is important as it gives your digestive system a break, promotes brain health, and increases longevity.
