Ingredients:

Cake:

1/2 cup chopped 99% dark chocolate bar

1/4 cup coconut oil

6 tablespoon coconut sugar

1 1/2 eggs, whipped

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

Glaze:

1/2 cup chopped 99% dark chocolate bar

1/4 cup full fat coconut milk

2 tablespoons maple syrup


Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line the bottom of an 8 inch round cake pan with parchment paper.

2. In a saucepan, melt the coconut oil over medium heat until liquified and then remove from heat and add chopped chocolate. Stir until combined and silky smooth.

3. Add the rest of the cake ingredients into a bowl and add the melted coconut oil and chocolate. Whisk until smooth.

4. Pour the batter into the cake pan and bake for 15 minutes, then cool.

5. For the frosting, head the coconut oil over medium heat until it reaches a simmer, then take it off the heat and add the chopped chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted and combined. Then pour the glaze over the cooled cake and place in the refrigerator to set. Serve at your desired temperature.
